The project “Core values in youth work: building skills for empowerment and inclusion” has reached its first milestone with the successful implementation of the preparatory meeting, which laid a solid foundation for the upcoming activities. The event brought together 10 youth workers from ten countries — Georgia, Ukraine, The Netherlands, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Italy, Romania, Greece, and Azerbaijan. This diversity of perspectives and experiences enriched the discussions, as each partner organization contributed unique insights rooted in their national and cultural contexts.
The main aim of the meeting was to establish a shared understanding of the project’s objectives, methodologies, and organizational framework. Over several days, participants worked on finalizing the training content and timetable, while also reviewing practical arrangements. Beyond the technical aspects, the meeting provided space for strengthening communication and cooperation, ensuring that the partner network will be able to collaborate effectively throughout the next phases. A key focus was placed on adapting activities to the realities of marginalized young people, exploring inclusive approaches that guarantee equal opportunities for all.
The outcomes of the meeting include a finalized training agenda, detailed partner action plans, and a comprehensive risk assessment, all of which will support the smooth implementation of the training course. Equally important, the event reinforced the sense of partnership and mutual commitment among the organizations. By sharing experiences and exchanging good practices, participants ensured that the impact of the project will extend beyond the training itself, contributing to long-term improvements in youth work across Europe and its neighboring regions. The dedication and expertise of the youth workers now pave the way for the next stage: the international training course.
