From 30 November to 7 December, InnoEdu proudly participated in the Practice of Tolerance training in Vilnius, Lithuania. This intensive programme equipped youth workers with effective tools and methodologies to combat hate speech and promote inclusive communities.
Bringing together 43 participants from 10 countries, the training provided a dynamic learning experience that included role-playing, group discussions, creative exercises and project development activities. Each day focused on key themes such as the origins and impact of hate speech, social injustice, emotional exploration and strategies to support affected young people. The sessions ensured that youth workers gained practical skills to create safer, more inclusive environments for young people.
An important outcome of this initiative was the strengthened capacity of youth organisations to integrate inclusive methodologies into their daily work. The participation of young people with fewer opportunities further strengthened our commitment to equity in professional development.
At the end of the course, all participants received a Youthpass certificate, recognising their commitment to learning and professional development. The methodologies developed during the training continue to serve as a sustainable foundation for tackling hate speech in youth work.
